Céline comes from Paris. After graduating from Université Sorbonne with a Masters in French as a Foreign Language, Céline has built up her career in the international Alliance Française network for more than 10 years, teaching in France, Switzerland, India and South Korea. Céline moved to Milton Keynes and joined the team in 2015.

Gladys comes from Toulouse from where she got her accent and love for phonetics, studying with Mr. Billières at university. She likes teaching French through games and engaging exercises. She creates teaching materials. Gladys enjoys reading, watching films and creative DIY.

Christèle comes from Lyon. She moved to England with her family in 2016 but has now returned to France. She teaches her classes online. She enjoys teaching, especially to children and teenagers. She also loves literature and travelling.

Véronique originates from the Rhône-Alpes region. She has been living in England for many years and used to live in different regions of France. She has been teaching French at the Alliance Française for over 10 years. She teaches intermediate and advanced classes. She enjoys art, cooking and reading French and international literature.

Stephanie was born in Compiègne and has lived in Nice, South of France. After having studied corporate law she became a lawyer, and also helped youngsters and adults with English & French courses. She is in Milton Keynes since January 2020 and appreciates the green spaces of the city. She is an intercultural linguist passionate about languages and travel. Her hobbies are cooking, music, and studying medicine.

Sylvie was born in Marseille. She has been living in Milton Keynes since leaving France. Sylvie has got work experience in the computer industry as well as in teaching in primary, secondary schools and adult education. She enjoys travelling, reading and going to the theatre.

Devika comes from India and has been living in England since 2020. She started studying French in school and gradually fell in love with the language. She went on to graduate in French literature and spent a couple of years teaching and studying in France where she got an opportunity to hone her accent and develop a profound understanding of French culture. In 2017, she completed her Master 1 in French as a Foreign Language from Université Paris Cité and joined Alliance Française de Bangalore as a teacher soon after. She has been teaching French professionally across all age groups for close to 10 years and loves beginners for their keenness to learn something new. Other than French, she is a certified yoga trainer, loves to be amidst nature, cook, write and is an explorer at heart.

Mercedes was born in Belgium in a Spanish-speaking family where she caught the “language bug” and decided to make languages a way of life. She is fluent in French, Spanish, English and Portuguese, and has a fairly good command of Italian and Dutch. She has been working in adult education for 30 years now. She has been collaborating with Alliance Française Bruxelles-Europe for a number of years, teaching a wide range of face-to-face and online lessons to groups and private individuals including top managers, diplomats and ambassadors. A keen traveller. She enjoys reading, walking and baking, and has a passion for all things health and aviation.

Je suis professeur à l'Alliance depuis plusieurs années. D'origine britannique, j'ai travaillé trois années de suite en France et en Tunisie dans les années 80, puis j'ai vécu onze ans en Normandie au début du 21e siècle. Je suis traducteur professionnel et j'ai traduit "L'Etranger" de Camus et "Le Petit Prince" de Saint-Exupéry, entre autres.
